Our IATP accredited Non-Licensed Works Training Course is a full day course which will enable you to safely and professionally work with and remove lower risk, non-licensed Asbestos Containing Materials. For those who have already completed our full course we also offer half day refresher courses to keep you compliant for works.

Course Options:

Non Licensed Works Training (one day, including refreshments) - £225 + VAT

Non Licensed Refresher Training (half day, inc refreshments) - £120 + VAT

Face fit testing (own mask required) - £42 + VAT

As with all H&S compulsory training that is relevant to your field of work, annual refresher training is a legal requirement. Face fit testing must be carried out every 2 years.

Materials that can be worked with include:

  • Artex (textured coating)
  • Asbestos cement
  • Vinyl floor tiles
  • Bitumen and felts
  • Composite materials, e.g. cisterns & window boards

This course will be particularly valuable for builders and trades who work on refurbishment, demolition and extensions to existing buildings.

Please note you will need to have completed Level 1 Asbestos Awareness training within 6 months prior to attending the Non Licensed Works Course. This is usually £24 (inc VAT). As part of the current course offer we will include this free of charge should you need it.

Once you have completed the training then other considerations to allow you to offer Non Licensed asbestos removal and remedial works to your clients include;

  • Face Fit testing. You or your staff will need to have been face fit tested to the mask or masks that you plan to use for your works
  • Hazardous Waste Carrier Licence
  • PL insurance
  • RPE and PPE
  • H-Type Vacuum (can hire)
  • Hazardous waste disposal

We will discuss options for all the above considerations with you as part of the course.
